Money, money, money...MONEY!!

I haven't given a coupon update recently so I thought I would give a quick update. I haven't been shopping as much as I did earlier this year but I am still using coupons and finding great deals. I have been using an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of my savings and it is amazing how much we have saved in 6 months. So far this year we have saved $1370.13 using coupons and sales. Also, we have earned $75 to amazon.com using Swagbucks as our search engine. Not too bad. We have also found other ways to make extra money. We take paid online surveys, we shop through cashback websites, and we receive lots of free things in the mail. When I say "we" I mean "we". Ray won't admit it but he loves couponing just as much as I do. Lots of the time he is telling me about the good deals he has found.
We love saving money and making money!!

Family Reunion

We had a family reunion this week at Wallowa Lake in Oregon. It was great to see all of my family but it definitely was not one of my favorite vacations. Here is why:

I felt like I was taking care of a different child this weekend. Zach didn't let anyone hold him except for me, he didn't smile, he didn't laugh, he didn't play, he didn't sleep. He sure was happy to get home. He loves coming home to his room, his crib, his dad (who stayed home to work) and his routine.

Although I spent most of my time dealing with a fussy baby it was fun hanging out with the family. I sure am lucky to have such a great family and I absolutely love getting together with them.

Zach is so funny, I sat him on the couch and pulled out the camera and he automatically started to smile. He loves being in front of the camera!

We planted a garden again this year and it is even better than last year. Last year we had just a few strawberries and this year we have so many that we have a hard time eating them all. So far we have already picked over 50 and we still have many more coming. Nothing is better than a fresh strawberry from the garden!

He's a ROCKSTAR!!

Whenever Heidi comes home from school Ray gets so excited because it's one more person to play Rockband with us. Well I think Heidi is getting sick of playing with us so she has decided to train Zach to take her place! I'm sure Ray is happy! He once told me that we need to hurry and have 2 children so that we have a full band for Rockband. Here are some pictures of my little rockstar!

I got an email from my sister Eliza telling me that I need to update my blog. I know I have slacked off but sometimes when I get behind on something it is just too hard to start up again. Over the next week or so I plan on posting quite a few posts to catch up on the last couple of months. I have taken some good pics and want to share them with everyone.
