40 Week Update

There is still no baby but I got some good news at my doctors appointment today. The baby has dropped and is ready to come, I am dilated to a 5, and I am 100% effaced. Sounds like I am ready for labor, right? Now I am just waiting for contractions. My nurse said that she doesn't think I will make it through the weekend without this baby coming. Let's hope she is right! Maybe we will have a little Easter baby. I know I've said it before but hopefully the next post will be pictures of this baby girl!

39 Weeks

Yes, I am still pregnant. I am 39 weeks and 3 days and I am huge. I never thought I would make it this far. I don't think anyone thought I would make it this far. It's kind of funny, I spend so much of my pregnancy trying to keep this little baby from coming out and now when I want her out she won't come. Oh well, what do you do? Here I am with my massive belly:

Adele's Biggest Fan

This morning Ray and I were woken up at 6 am by the sweet sound of Zach singing "Set Fire to the Rain" by Adele at the top of his lungs. It was pretty awesome. Have I mentioned how much this kid loves Adele? There are about 5 of her songs that he loves and always wants to listen to. He can sing the entire chorus to each of those songs and some of the verses too. The other day my parents were playing the guitar with Zach and he asked them to play Rolling in the Deep. I think my parents were pretty shocked. What can I say, my kid has good musical taste!

What an awesome kid I have!

Snack Time

I was sitting on the couch resting when Zach asked if he could have a snack. I was too lazy, and too pregnant, to get off the couch to help him get a snack so I told him to pick a snack and bring it to me so I could open it for him. Here is what he brought me:

Baby Showers

Last week I had two awesome baby showers and I have no pictures to show for it. Did I take my camera to them? Yes. Of course, I didn't remember to take the camera out of my bag and use it. Although I have no pictures of the showers I did get some awesome gifts and had a great time with my friends. This little girl is going to be so stinking cute. I got so many cute outfits that she is going to look so adorable in.
This isn't a picture of the actual shower but here is a picture of what was made at one of the showers:

My friend Cami, who hosted the shower, made the plaque and then everyone at the party made the bows. It was so much fun. I was so excited because I am not crafty and I wanted some cute bows for this little girl but I knew I would never do it. Now I have plenty to choose from!
Now that the showers are over and I have plenty of girl clothes and bows, we are ready for this baby to come. I am 38 weeks and I have definitely gotten to the point where I don't think I can carry this baby much longer. She is just getting to heavy for me.
