My Two Boys

I love being Zach's mom but occasionally I feel like have two children, here is a perfect example of why I feel that way. Both Ray and Zach were wearing Boise State outfits and I thought it would be such a cute idea to get a picture of them. I grabbed the camera and set Zach on Ray's lap. I was trying to get Zach to look at me instead of the camera so that I could get him to smile. After a few minutes of trying this he finally gave me a huge smile. I was so excited because I knew I got the smile and it was going to be the perfect picture. Well guess what, I forgot to work on getting Ray to smile. Here is how the picture turned out:

JUMPEROO!!!

We bought Zach a jumperoo for Christmas and it was the best gift we have ever bought for him. He absolutely loves it. When we first put him in it he would just stare at the animals and sometimes he would even get a little scared. Not anymore. He could spend all day in that thing if we let him. He just smiles and laughs the whole time. It is so fun to watch him jump around in it. I will try to post a video of him in it but for now here are some pictures.

Zach's Gift to Heidi

5 months

I cannot believe my little Zachary is already 5 months. It seems just like yesterday when he was born. He is getting so big and so fun. When Jake was home a few weeks ago he asked if Zach cries a lot like he occasionally did when he was a newborn. Not at all. It seems like all he does is laugh and smile. He normally just smiles and giggles but every once in awhile he will let out a huge belly laugh. It is the funniest thing.

He was getting close to rolling over but I think he is giving up on it. He used to roll all the way on his side but his arm was stopping him from rolling all the way over. Now when we do tummy time he just lays there playing until he wants to be rolled over onto his back. He is not the biggest fan of tummy time though. If you ever want to see him cry put him on is tummy for more than 5 minutes. This is normally how tummy time goes, it all happens within 3-5 minutes:

I have realized that I am really bad at taking pictures of Zach so I am going to keep the camera out so I remember to take more pictures. here are some pictures I have taken in the last couple of days.

Finally!!

Last week we decided that it was finally was time to get rid of Zach's pacifier. Let me explain why. Zach has kind of slept through the night for the past few months. He doesn't wake up to eat but he has always woken up a couple of times a night for me to reinsert his pacifier. It never really bothered me until last week. He started waking up almost every hour for his pacifier. That got old very quick so we decided we just needed to get rid of it completely. This was Tuesday when we made the decision and we decided we would start it on Friday. Well Zach must have been listening when we talked about it because on Thursday night he didn't wake up once for his pacifier. He slept from 7:30 til 7:00 without a peep. I never expected that to be a new trend but he has slept through the night every night since. Life is wonderful!!!
This is Zach all ready for nap. He has his Binky, his Lovey, and he is all swaddled up in his Miracle Blanket, just the way he likes it!!

Coupon Update

Since I posted earlier about my coupon experience I thought I would update you on how the whole month went. For the month of February we saved $251.15 using coupons and $59.68 shopping sale prices. So the total amount we saved in February was $310.83. Not too bad!! I love using coupons!! I am absolutely amazed at how much money we have saved. I don't know if every month will be this good but I am excited to find out. If I get really good I might have to start a blog to tell you guys where I find the good deals. Maybe Natalie and I will have to do one together. What do you think Natalie? Would anyone be interested in reading it?

Also, I have received something free in the mail almost everyday for the past 2 weeks. I sign up every time someone is giving out free samples. I love getting free things. Here are some of the things I have received free:

- Coupons for free Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce (I emailed the company asking for coupons since this is our absolute favorite BBQ sauce. 2 months later I got them in the mail!!)

Well that is my coupon update for the month of February. Overall I would say I did pretty good for my first full month of using coupons.
